I had the very great pleasure to create artwork for siriala's “The Winchester Trail”. It's beautiful and stunning and so incredibly visual, I had no problem finding things to illustrate. I found it really frustrating, trying to decide which of the scenes I had to pick. My author did a wonderful job of adapting the movie “3:10 to Yuma”. “The Winchester Trail” is so detail-rich story, so full of emotion, packed with action and suspense. It's hard not to fall in love with characters and their journey.
I would like to thank very much to siriala for letting me illustrated her story.♥

Holy cow, that's awesome art right there. Seriously, WOW. I would love to gush a whole bunch more at it, but I'm pretty much stuck at 'wow' right now. :)

Thanks for sharing with us :)

Wow you did a lot and it's all rather gorgeous. I love the reds and fiery colours! I'm especially fond of your dividers, and the main banner, but the Jared drawing is lovely too. Is that a hand drawn pencil one or a pencil effect using PS?

Thank you for the lovely comment!
The portrait of Jared is a combination of a traditional and a digital drawing. I've used pencil and paper for sketch. I've then scanned and imported it into my program ( GIMP ). The scanning a graphite drawing is a hit or miss processing. The scanner does not pick up the subtle differences in the shading. The result doesn't represent the actual drawing (dark greys become black, light greys become white).
I've played with the contrast and the levels. I've made experiment with adding and multiplying more layers. Then I've used a Wacom tablet to draw over on the computer.

Gotcha - I don't scan my pencil drawings any more, I take photos instead because that works better, but I still have to do a lot of adjusting in PS to get some of that subtlety back again.

Anyhow, that is a lovely drawing!

My word, these are absolutely astounding. I love every piece and I don't think I could even pick a favorite because I'm so blown away, but the sketch of young Sam (AKA Colin Ford) is so sweet I'd probably go with that one. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible talent! :)

Truly amazing art for a wonderful story.
I love the colouring of the pieces and the pencil drawings are just eye popping fantastic. I really love the one of Jared.
Dean hanging by those chains in darn good too because he looks ravishing.
Thanks for sharing.

What a great artset! So cool to see not only a banner and dividers but also charactercards and scenes! I like that the red and orange come back in all your images (well, except for the two pencilpieces, but those are awesome for lack of colour;) I'm very fond of cowboys Sam and Dean; I especially love Sam's pose and expression <3
Good job on all the backgrounds too.
